He did it!!

At long last Travis has graduated from Barber College! Whoo hooo!!!! Although he is through with school he does still have to take the board exam. He will be going to Columbus on May 7th to take the big test. Shortly after he takes the test he will find that he passed it and then he can start working. So today we say CONGRATS TRAVIS and good luck with the board exam.

Braeden loves to play. Not only that, he LOVES to play with Travis. As soon as Travis walks in from school it is "Trava play!" He will continue calling until they are both on the floor with the toys. We are trying to get him to be a little more patient but it is an ongoing battle. Braeden is also a little copy cat. He will do almost anything that Travis does. Here are a couple of examples of Braeden and Travis kicking it together.

Holy Moly!

There is no need for a tape recorder in my house since Braeden has started to talk. He repeats EVERYTHING you say. It can be very cute which is why I decided to share this little video with you.

As you may be able to see Braeden has been putting on a little bit of weight lately. He is still a skinny little man but at least he doesn't look anorexic. He is beginning to fit into his 18 month pants and 18-24 month tops. He is tooooo cute! Here are just a couple of pictures we took the last couple of days.

Braeden is finally big enough for a lot of the clothes he has had for a while.

Woohoo a nice day at last! It seems that the person responsible for the weather actually read my blog and decided to send me a little love. Today was a beautiful day so Braeden and I took that bubble mower and hit the great outdoors. Braeden pushed and pulled the mower all over the yard/driveway for hours. Braeden did stop playing with the mower long enough to give a cat in the yard a hard time and play with Travis for a minute in the car. Here are a couple of pictures of our exciting day outdoors.

Ohio Weather

Can I just say that Ohio weather SUCKS!!!!! I am telling you that I am sick of it being warm on Monday and snowing on Wednesday. Not only is it making me ill (I have had a cold/ ear infection since last Friday) it is also causing me to lose my mind. Braeden is driving me CRAZY. He has been terrorizing Larry (Travis's cat) and he won't stop running all over the house. He runs from the living room, to the kitchen, to the stairs, back to the living room and a last round to the kitchen. This goes on like a million times a day. He also seems to have no volume control and is constantly yelling to get your attention. It is enough to drive someone insane.

This week I did go out, in anticipation of warmer weather, and bought Braeden a bubble mower. Not sure it was a great idea to buy it right now since we will probably still have crappy weather for another week, but it is too late now. Braeden loves that thing! We haven't set the bubbles in the right way yet, but he loves to push that thing around. Today when he got out of the tub he went running into the living room to try and mow naked! I informed him that he needed to at least have a diaper on before he goes to mow, we don't need a pee trail through the house. Hopefully the weather will lighten up soon and we can go outside and play! I am sure that Larry would love to have some time to himself.




I also wanted to say thanks for the comments! I am glad to see that there are some people out there reading this. Also, a little update on the babysitter situation....I no longer am in desperate need for a babysitter Braeden's grandfather has informed me that he will watch him while I am at work. There is a lot of stuff happening over there so I am not sure how long that will last. I am looking for a daytime job so that I can put him into a daycare. Hopefully I can find something quick because I HATE MY JOB!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!!!! This isn't Braeden's first Easter however it is the first one that he can actually participate in all the joys of egg coloring. I read an article in the Parenting Magazine that for small children you should try placing the egg coloring kits in the bath tub and let them have at it. This sounded like an excellent idea to me so that is what we decided to do. Needless to say there were a few busted egg shells and colorful hands but Braeden seemed to have a good time. When we were finished Braeden got to use the magic eraser to clean the tub. I ended up doing most of the cleaning since he wasn't really sure what to do with the magic eraser. It took a lot longer to get Braeden's hands dye free but he didn't mind staying in the tub a little longer than usual. Braeden can't wait until next year to do it again. Perhaps next year it won't be as messy but with Braeden heaven only knows.

What a day!

What a beautiful day it was on Monday! The sun was shinning, it seemed to be super warm except the wind was CRAZY! It was still a nice day to take a little trip out to the park so Travis and I took Braeden to the Vandalia Recreation Center Park. Braeden had a good time he played ball with a little girl who was there with her dad, went down the slide a million times and just ran all over the place. Unfortunately there were not any swings at this playground but we had a good time anyways. Here are a few pictures of our fun day at the park.

It's not easy....

It's not easy being this cool! Braeden absolutely LOVES being outside so anytime we have a chance that's where you can find us. He tries his hardest to be cool at all times so here are a couple of pictures of him at his best.
