Halloween

Wooohooo Halloween!

Braeden wanted to draw the face on his jack-o-lantern this year. Here is what he came up with...

OUCH!

Heck yeah lets cut him open!

Guts anyone?

Ewwwww!

Both pumpkins glowing in the night.

Mine is slightly CRAZY!

Braeden's is MEAN!

For Halloween Braeden settled on Darth Maul from Star Wars. I am not a fan of masks and there aren't any costumes out there without a mask. We had to find a way around it. I figured I could paint the design on his face I just needed to figure the whole horns around his head. I decided to go with a latex bald cap to attach the horns and paint.
Here is how it went....
Bald cap
Paint, horns and glue

Horns are on

Does he look like Darth Maul or a multi horn cow?

So that's the cap.

I put the cap together several weeks in advance to make sure it would stay glued in place. Then on Braeden's birthday we did a full run with costume and make-up. Here are several pictures from his photo shoot that day.

Now it's time for trick or treat. Here he is ready to go.

We had all the younger cousins together for the outing. Here is the lineup.

On the hunt for candy!

Awwww...so cute!

He's 6!!!!!

I know it's a couple weeks late but Braeden is 6 now! Where has the time gone?

Well here are a couple of pictures from his party at the Magic Castle.

Pizza for everyone except Braeden who just chowed down on peperoni.

He is the KING for the day. Can you tell?

Here is hole number 6 cupcake thing. Travis didn't get the picture before our hostess stuck the candles in.

Another shot of the cake right after I finished at the house.

Mmmmmm...cupcakes!

Time for presents!

Group Picture!

Time for some golf!

After golf all the kids got to play some of the arcade games.

It was a LOOOOONG day but Braeden had an awesome birthday.

Jedi Training Academy

More Vacation

I know it has been a while but here are the pictures from the end of our vacation back in May.

We decided to spend the second day in the parks at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Here is Braeden with the sorcerer's hat.

Braeden kickin' it on a speeder.

Of course when visiting Hollywood Studios you have to ride the Tower of Terror. Braeden was dying to ride this from the moment we walked into the park. I love this ride so the TWO of us took the plunge. Travis was just fine with waiting for us at the bottom.

After the Tower of Terror we needed a little rest.

Cars + boys = good photos

Braeden needed another rest on the way to check out Indiana Jones.

Travis had an appointment in the middle of the day to ride around in race cars so Braeden and I stayed and toured the back-lot.

Of course you have to stop and play at "Honey, I shrunk the kids!"

Don't wanna forget the Muppets!

Braeden once again taking a rest on our way to check out the car speed show.

Early in the day we also signed Braeden up for the Jedi Training Academy. Here he is in his Jedi robe patiently waiting for his light saber.

During his training Darth Vader made an appearance. Check out the videos in the next post to see Braeden laying the smack down.

Once Darth Vader was defeated Braeden received his training certificate.

The last day at Disney we were back to Magic Kingdom.

We took a little ride on the ferry.

We met Mickey and Minnie.

Braeden got captured with Zurg.

Travis took Braeden on a little ride around the track.

We all took a spin in the tea cups.

We headed out to Rainforest Cafe for lunch. Yummy!

Then kicked it on the monorail back to the park.

We had to check out the Barber Shop.

Awwwww.....

The whole family on the Jungle River Cruise.

A few more rounds of Splash Mountain.

Once we left Disney we headed out to Cocoa Beach. While there we thought it would be a good idea to take a little boat tour to see manatees and dolphins.

Braeden is on the lookout for wildlife.

Look a dolphin!

A manatee that wanted to get a little drink from the boat.

On the way back Braeden was allowed to drive the boat. Lucky duck!

Chillin' on the boat.

After our boat trip Travis and Braeden had to hit the beach. I am not big on being in the ocean so I just sat back and relaxed.

Fun in the sun!

Check out their sandcastle.

Where did that head come from?

While we were out on the beach the bomb squad had to be called to the hotel so we had to just chill for another hour or so.

As soon as we were allowed back into the hotel Braeden had to jump right into the pool.

Those are all of the pictures (kind of) from out vacation. Hope you enjoyed them! Look for Braeden's battle against Darth Vader next.
