And so it begins...

I know it has been a little while since my last post but don't be mad I'm just a lazy blogger. :) I was going to start from my last blog but I would never get caught up so I think we will just start from the honeymoon. I would start at the wedding but there are soooo many pictures I can't pick my favorites. If you wanna check out the pictures you can see them at IY Creations. I will do a post about the wedding once I go through and choose my favorite pictures.

Anyways... on to the HONEYMOON!

We went to Destin, FL for our honeymoon staying at a condo right on the beach. We began our little road trip early the morning after the wedding. (Let me tell you I am not a fan of road trips.) It rained A LOT on the way down. You may have heard a little bit about the flooding in TN during that time. We drove through that crap. It was CRAZY! Here are a few of the pictures.

Can you see the road?

The North-bound lane was closed because the water was so high and only one lane South-bound was open.

A car stuck in a river that used to be a road.

The guy trying to get out of the water after leaving the car seen above.

We finally got to the condo about 13 hrs after we started. The next day it rained a little bit so Travis and I decided to just lay low and check out what was around town. For lunch we went to McGuire's Irish Pub. Oh my gosh, the food was so good. We also left our stamp at the pub. Just check out the pictures to see what I mean.

Mmmmmm McGuire's!

Yes those are all one dollar bills hanging from the ceiling.

Here is our contribution to the decor.

It's hanging right next to the green light so look us up if you are ever there to have a bite.

Travis trying to get it put in just the right place.
After lunch it really started to ran so we spent most of the evening just chillin' at the condo. I can't really remember what we did on each day. The rest of this post will just be pictures and descriptions.(Lazy I know!)

Here I am getting ready to walk through Fort Pickens.

Travis doing his Captain Morgan's pose.

Still walking through the fort. Can I tell you how hot it was down there?

Oh my! That's a big cannon!

Walking on the beach that is around the fort. You like the fact I am in jeans, t-shirt and a large floppy hat? That's how you roll when you have had skin cancer! Let's not forget all the sunscreen I was using.

Awww...here we are on the beach.

This is my favorite picture! Travis doing his "I'm on a Boat" pose.

That's right I built a sandcastle at night.

I like this picture a lot.

Walking on the beach just after the sun went down.

I let the ice maker get a little out of hand.

The view from the balcony.

That's all folks!

November

In Nov. Braeden and Travis had a ton of fun playing outside. While I was at work one day Travis did a little raking and Braeden did a little leaf diving. Then when they finished they took a little trip to Young's Dairy. Here are a few pictures from their fun day.

Rachel and I took the boys to Cincinnati Museum Center to check out the Museum of Natural History. The boys had an awesome time running around in the indoor cave. Then checking out the dinosaurs and finally played in the giant sandbox. That place is awesome. We will have to make another trip soon to check out the Children's Museum.

Last Half Of October

A day or so after my last post our little family took a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN for a vacation. It was the first vacation Travis has had in several years and he was pumped to get down there. He had most of what we would be doing while down there planned out about a week before we left. While I slept in everyday he got up before sun rise and drove to Clingmans Dome to get pictures of the sun coming up over the mountains. If you want to see those pictures you can go to his Flickr page and check some of them out. While Travis was out that first day I had a little accident in the cabin. On my way to turn a light off (half awake) I took a little slide down the stairs. When Travis got back to the cabin we packed into the car and started out. Our first stop that day was to hike Grotto Falls. The hike wasn't terribly hard it had rained though so it was really muddy and we had to cross a creek or two. Here are a couple of pictures of when I go to the top.

On the way back down from the falls I once again took a little spill. This time though I almost rolled down the mountain. I had just about had it with walking. Thankfully that was the last fall I took while on vacation. The last couple of days was mostly driving to see the sites in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Here is a picture that we took of Braeden outside the cabin before we left in the hoodie that Grandma Jazmyn made for him.

Check out the sign that we found while out and about in TN.

Next came Braeden's 4th birthday party! WOOHOO! We decided to hold the festivities at Marion Lanes bowling alley. All of the family that lives in the area were there to get their bowl on. All the T's were there as well as Rachel, Gavin, Grandma Jazmyn, Aunt Krista and Aunt Donna. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Here are a few of the pictures from the party.

Finally we have Halloween! Braeden was the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz. He was the cutest little guy out there. We went over to the T's house to go with all the kids there. Braeden was so excited while out trick-or-treating. He would run up to the house and then run back to us and show us what he got. I think he may just be the cutest little boy ever.
