Braeden is so much fun!

Braeden and I have been having such good time lately! He loves to play outside and when we are inside he has a new obsession with trying to shave. Any time we walk out of the house he wants to play with the water hose. He loves to splash around in it but gets a little freaked out if he accidentally sprays himself in the face.
Seriously how cute is he?

Want some water mommy?

Oops Braeden sprayed himself in the face.

Here is a little video I took of him playing around outside.

Braeden's pants were so wet that even his belt couldn't keep them up.

Travis has taken on the task of teaching Braeden how to shave! I know he probably doesn't really need to know how to do that yet but he loves trying to be a big boy.
Here they are shaving....

....ahhh smooth as a baby's bottom!

Lots of stuff

This week has been packed full of fun since I have not been working. I have decided that I would start trying to get Braeden to use the potty this week. It has been an adventure that is for sure. I went out and bought one of the little seats for the regular toilet and a little stool for him to use. He already had a little potty seat that he would sit on if he had clothes on but refused if his diaper was off. I thought he may like the big potty better but he hates it as well. The first time on it he just cried and leaned forward to rest his little head on my shoulder. I then decided that I would make a little treat jar for him so that anytime he goes potty he can have a piece of candy. As of this morning he still isn't loving to sit on the potty but he really wants that candy. He tried to take a little doll and put her on the potty to get a piece of candy. He is so funny.

Travis thinks that I am mean for taking this picture! I know that Braeden will appreciate it when he gets older.

Here is the little jar I painted for Braeden's potty rewards.

Braeden and I also took a little trip to the Air Force Museum this week. He seemed to be more interested in the airplanes this time. His favorite part is still the steps next to the cockpit that you can sit in. One day I am sure that he will actually get in but right now it is more fun to climb up and down the steps.

Braeden sat on the seats long enough for me to get one good picture.

There are more airplanes on the ceiling.

Here he is playing on the steps.

We ended our week with a trip to the zoo! Travis got off work early and since it was such a nice day he thought it would be fun to take a little trip. Braeden loved checking out the monkeys, bears and tigers. Things were going really well until...Braeden threw up all over the place!:( I did have extra clothes for him but they were all the way out in the car. So after a wrong turn and hiking up the largest mountain in the world with a naked baby we got to the car. There was only about 45 minutes before the zoo closed so we decided to go ahead and leave. We thought that by leaving we would miss some of the traffic but that is not the case. It took us two hours to get home because of all the traffic. Other than the throwing up and traffic we had a very good time.

Is that Braeden?

Traffic jam...in Cincinnati? Who would have ever guessed that?

Trip

This weekend I took Braeden and my brother to Kentucky to see my dad and the family. I try to see them anytime that they are nearby (3 hours or less) and I have time off. I left Saturday at 11:00am and due to some CRAZY traffic in Cincinnati my 3 hour trip turned into a 5.5 hour journey. Braeden was pretty good during the car ride and when we got to Kentucky he was ready to play. He made sure to follow Grandpa everywhere he went. It was really cute. He seemed to have a good time playing ball outside and making Grandpa clean up his coloring book as many times as possible. It was a really short trip but we did have a good time. Here are some of the pictures from this weekend.

Braeden and Uncle Phillip went out to catch lightning bugs but didn't have much luck.

After their disappointing hunt they snuggled together in the house.

Braeden had to cuddle with Grandpa as soon as he got up in the morning.

"Look Mommy I picked one of Great Grandma's flowers for you!" (Yes he was outside playing in his pj's. What can you do when he wants to follow Grandpa outside to play?)

There is always time for kisses from Grandma.

Is this my son?

I do not believe that my son would say something like this....

Well we gave him a bite of the salad....

It didn't take him long to decide to spit it out. Thats my boy!

4th Of July Weekend

This weekend was pretty busy for us up here! On Saturday after Travis and I got off work we drove down to Cincinnati to meet the Compston family for a little food and fireworks. We didn't get there until about 8 so there wasn't a whole lot of time for us to visit with everyone but we had a good time. Then on Sunday we went to Krista's house to chill with Travis's family. We didn't have a camera for the Saturday event but here are a few pictures of the kids from Sunday.
